Turnaround principals often face a daunting task. They are asked to enter a persistently under-performing school and bring about immediate change that will improve learning, achievement and, ultimately, life outcomes for students. The Turnaround Principals Spring Fellowship provides principals 6-8 weeks of intensive planning and support before they take over their school. In the late spring participants convene as a planning community, examine research on turnaround schools, and visit schools in several cities to examine the policy and practices that have produced turnaround success.
